Intensive interest to exporters in Nigeria

 

Turkey-Nigeria Business Forum and bilateral business negotiations, which is under the coordination of the Ministry of Trade and TIM organization, held in the commercial capital of Nigeria, Lagos on August 2, 2018.

37 Turkish business people from 34 companies, operating in electric-electronics, software-hardware and IT, banking and finance, textile, chemical products, pharmaceutical industry, construction, automotive supply industry, energy, forestry products, sports goods, plastics, apperal and ready garment, cereals, cosmetics and packaging sectors participated in Turkey-Nigeria Business Forum.

wNigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) and Lagos Chamber Of Commerce & Industry (LCCI) was our partner organizations in Turkey-Nigeria Business Forum which opened with the opening speech of H.E. Ayoola Olukanni, General Director of the NACCIMA.

Olukanni, stating that Turkey and Nigeria should increase trade in the product range. said they attached great importance of the development of relations with Turkey.

Afterwards, the promotional film about the economic improvement, investment opportunities and foreign trade of Turkey and TIM, reflected on the cinevision screen, also received great applause and appreciation from the participants.

Following the video presentation, Soboma Ajumogobia, Deputy President of LCCI, expressed that Turkey is one of the world's most important attraction center for trade and investment as its closeness to the EU and its geo-strategic position.

After the business forum which ended with the gift ceremony and group photo, B2B meetings session started with the attendance of 37 business people from 34 Turkish companies and 350 Nigerian companies. During the section, around 1.000 business meetings were held.

Collaboration of TIM-LCCI : MOU was signed

Following the speeches, Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between TİM and LCCI to increase trade relations between Turkey and Nigeria.
