More Women Participation in Exports

Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), make a recommendation for the elections of expoter unions, which will be held in April 2018, that predicts each management board will contain at least 2 woman members and each board of supervisors will contain at least one woman member.

Turkish Exporters Assembly is working to increase quantity of women members in exporters unions. TİM  made a recommendation for the elections of exporter unions, which will be held in April 2018, that predicts each management board will contain at least 2 women members and each board of supervisors will contain at least one woman member.

President of TİM Mehmet Büyükekşi declared: “The participation rate of women to workforce has been increased from 23,6% in 2007 to 34,2% in 2017 in our country. More increasing of this rate will accelerate economic and social development and contribute to our level of welfare. This issue, which Minister of Economy gives priority, has been evaluated by TİM's Sectorial Council and Board of Members and a recommendation decision has been taken to increase number of women in the exporter unions. Celebrating all women's 8 March World Women's Day, Büyükekşi added: “Besides of social life, women increasing their role in trade day by day and we want them to take more responsibility in exporters community.”
