TİM Chairman Gülle: US sanctions are unacceptable

Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) Chairman Ismail Gülle, evaluated the sanctions imposed by the United States. Gülle told that;

“The US sanctions are unacceptable. First of all, it must be understood by the United States that the matter of pastor Brunson is not a matter of politics, but of law. Our independent courts treat every individual as equals without any bias or prejudice toward their nationality, and they will announce their decision soon. However, we are surprised by the sanctions imposed due to the denial of a request for intervention to the law. We do not think it is logical for the US to impose sanctions by using this trial as an excuse. As a Turkish citizen, as the business world and Turkish exporters, we are with our Ministers.”

Mentioning about the historic economic and military ties between Turkey and the USA, TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle said that “We believe that these issues will not affect trade. There are US companies that invest here, and Turkish firms that have investments in the US. In 2017 we reached a trade volume of over 20 billion dollars. Political issues should be resolved by politicians. We are ready to provide the necessary support as the business world. Today, Turkey is among the world's top 20 economies. All of our investors are here in Turkey because they trust in this county's law. The same law will give independent judgment in the case of Brunson.”
