TURKISH EXPORTERS' ASSEMBLY HAS RELEASED THE “EXPORTERS TENDENCY SURVEY 2018Q2”

Turkish Exporters' Assembly (TİM) has released the “Exporters Tendency Survey” for 2018 Q2 expectations. According to the survey; USA, China, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and United Arab Emirates are leading target countries for exporters. In the first quarter of the year, 36% of the exporters, provided 29% additional employment.

Chairman of TİM, Mehmet Büyükekşi, commenting on the results told that;

“With more innovative products, we aim to penetrate countries like Germany and Italy. In the first three months, the demand for our products have increased. 3,500 companies started exporting for the first time. This is highly important for the sustainability of our exports”

 

The main findings of the survey are as follows:

  • In the first quarter of 2018, exports' share in companies' turnovers were 66.2%
  • 40% of exporters indicated that export unit prices increased
  • The exchange rate expectations of the exporters were;
    • USDTRY 4,32
    • EURTRY 5,24
  • Growth estimate for 2018Q2 were 6.1%
