“Turkish exporters will generate three hundred thousand additional job placements”

Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) is playing the leading role in President Recep Tayyip ERDOGAN's call for a new employment mobilization. TIM Chairman Mehmet BUYUKEKSI regards President ERDOGAN's call as a “national mobilization”. Consequently, Turkish exporters have stepped up their efforts in generating new jobs and it is expected that the total number of additional job placements will reach three hundred thousand. Moreover, he has pledged his support by providing an additional 2000 job placements in his company.

Mr. BUYUKEKSI shared TIM's vision in line with the recent mobilization campaign as follows: TIM aims at increasing Turkish exports from 142.4 billion $ to 155 billion $ this year. Total number of companies exporting goods and services will rise by three thousand to reach 70 thousand. Three million eighty thousand job placements in export business will have increased by three hundred thousand by the end of 2017.

Mr. BUYUKEKSI also summed up the results of the “Exporter Tendencies Survey” conducted for the first quarter of 2017. This survey has revealed that the US and the Russian markets constitute the top markers under Turkish exporters' radar. Germany, China, and France follow them. One out of two companies considers expanding their investments in the internal market, whilst one out of three companies plan to do the same for external markets. For Mr. BUYUKEKSI, these figures indicate that 2017 is a promising year for both exports and investments.

Mr. BUYUKEKSI claimed that Turkish exporters will achieve tremendous success in 2017. TIM will organize trade delegations to 48 different countries, 12 of which are on the list for the first time, including Dominique Republic, Benin, and Uruguay. In addition TIM will open up Turkish Trade Centers in countries leading the world trade.
