Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) announced the provisional foreign trade data for April. In April, Turkey's export was $ 8.9 billion, decreasing 41,4 percent. Exports in the last 12 months decreased by 3.7 percent to $ 172 billion 706 million.
Chairman of TIM Ismail Gülle pointed out that the Covid-19 pandemic has changed predictions for global growth and trade. We have launched action plans to take a stronger place in the new world order that will occur at the end of the Covid-19 process. Let's not forget that our export targets are bigger than Covid-19. Our country's exports will emerge stronger from this difficult process.
Virtual Trade Delegations will start in May
Referring to the action plans they put into use for exporters during the Covid-19 process, Gülle stated that they will continue to evaluate what products and sectors will continue to develop in the post-epidemic process with the "TİM Export Talks" panels held online with China, Netherlands, USA and EU Ambassadors. Within the scope of the 'next generation trade diplomacy' activities, we have started to organize virtual trade committees to prevent our exporters from being affected more negatively from this process. In the first place, we will start virtual trade delegations in early May with Kenya, Uzbekistan, South Korea and India. ”
1.5 billion monthly targets were approached in mask productionHe said they have mobilized factories to contribute to Turkey's fight against the virus.
