The parties aim to improve partnership relations between employees and workplaces by the agreement.

Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), the only umbrella organization of 100 thousand exporters with 61 exporter associations and 27 sectors, continues its efforts at full speed to achieve the goal of 'Türkiye Giving a Foreign Trade Surplus'. In order to increase the number of women represented in the business world and to ensure the integration of female entrepreneurs into business life, TİM Women's Council, which was formed within TİM, collaborated with the Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (MUSIAD) Women's Committee to improve bilateral relations. TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle and MUSIAD President Abdurrahman Kaan and members of the parties attended the cooperation protocol ceremony. The cooperation protocol, which aims to improve partnership relations between employees and in the areas of joint work, was signed by Melisa Tokgöz Mutlu, Vice President of TİM Women's Council, and Müge Öz, Chairwoman of the MUSIAD Women's Committee.
Gülle: They contribute to the development of the Turkish brand
Speaking at the signing ceremony, TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle stressed that the protocol will make an important contribution to increasing the power of women in the business world. Reminding that they established the TİM Women's Council in 2018 to increase the number of female exporters and entrepreneurs, Gülle said, "In a very short period, the Council has signed many important projects, from TİM Women Export Talks to physical and virtual trade delegations, from zero waste project in exports to TİM Women Sustainability Report. Each of our members of the TİM Women's Council and MUSIAD Women's Committee, who is among us today, performs important works in their companies and contributes to the development of the Turkish brand and value-added exports."
"We must increase the support we provide to entrepreneurs"
Noting the situation of female entrepreneurs in our country, Gülle noted: “According to 2020 data; In Türkiye, the rate of startups with women founders or partners is only 14 percent. The investment rate of these 'startups' is 30 percent of total investments with $43 million. Among the top 10 investments are 3 female entrepreneurs from TİM-TEB Venture House. The proportion of venture capital firms with at least one female partner is 22 percent in Türkiye, compared to 35 percent in the United States. The figures clearly show that we need to increase the number of female entrepreneurs and all the support we provide to entrepreneurs. In this sense, we are taking an important step as TİM and MUSIAD, which are among the most working and producing NGOs in our country. We sign this protocol to ensure the development of our common mobility and cooperation relations in our workplaces and among our employees.
What does the protocol cover?
Gülle stated that the two organizations will provide support to each other in domestic and international activities within the scope of cooperation projects with the protocol, "The two organizations will make announcements to their members in market research, trade fairs and exhibitions and commercial delegation organizations within the framework of the activities taking place abroad; will encourage their participation. However, TİM Women's Council and MUSIAD Women's Committee will develop a meaningful cooperation culture on training, seminars, Joint European Union projects, trade delegation visits, and bilateral meetings.
Kaan: With cooperation, women will be more involved in trade and exports
MUSIAD President Abdurrahman Kaan pointed out that TİM carries out studies for Turkish businesspeople, who carry out foreign trade, to gain a competitive advantage in foreign trade and strengthens the solidarity in the business world by contributing to various projects to support exporters. Kaan continued: We are working with TİM to support our female entrepreneurs and exporters and to enable them to play a more effective role in the business world. We organized TİM Women Export Talks, physical and virtual trade delegations. Under the leadership of first lady Emine Erdoğan, we have implemented the Zero Waste in Export Project. By sharing the TİM Women's Sustainability Report with the public, we fulfilled our responsibility for our tomorrow. We know that joining forces with different non-governmental organizations, signing valuable projects together, is of great importance for the future of our exports and business world. Because we believe that women's solidarity based on civil society coincides with our national solidarity spirit and national goals. With the protocol we signed today, hopefully, we will be even stronger from now on."
