40 Million Liras Support from İSTKA for TİM's Twin Transformation Projects
Türkiye Exporters Assembly (TİM) continues to lead the twin transformation of industries through its projects. Having undertaken numerous initiatives particularly for the transformation of SMEs, TİM, together with its partners, has qualified to receive approximately 40 million liras in support under the 2025 Financial Support Programs (MDP) of the Istanbul Development Agency (İSTKA) with three projects.
“The road to the goal lies in R&D, innovation, and branding”
Evaluating the support provided by İSTKA, TİM Chairman Mustafa Gültepe underlined that production and exports are the driving force of Türkiye's economy. Emphasizing that they are working with the vision and ambition of elevating Türkiye into the top 10 exporting countries, Mustafa Gültepe stated:
“The path to achieving our goal lies in high technology, R&D, innovation, and branding. In addition, we must transform digitalization and the green transition—what we call the twin transformation—into opportunities for all our industries. Particularly in the European Union (EU) market, where we realize 42% of our total exports, we must make rapid progress in twin transformation to preserve our current share and secure a more advantageous position. Four years ago, as TİM, we announced our sustainability action plan. Moreover, through our ECOTİM program and GREENTİM platform, we particularly support SMEs in the field of twin transformation. In the Green Innovation Technology Mentorship Program, we are a solution partner of TÜBİTAK. Beyond all these efforts, we are excited to be implementing an Istanbul Development Agency (İSTKA) project for the first time. Within the scope of İSTKA's 2025 Financial Support Programs (MDP), together with our partners, we have qualified for approximately 40 million liras in support for three projects. For the Artificial Intelligence-based Supply Chain Optimization project, which we will lead and carry out with the Istanbul Apparel Exporters' Association (İHKİB), we will receive 12.2 million liras in support. For our Twin Transformation in the Apparel Supply Chain project, led by İHKİB, İSTKA will provide 13.1 million liras in support. With both of these twin transformation-focused projects, we will enhance the competitiveness of our apparel industry. The Industrial Decarbonization Through Twin Transformation (IDec-TT) project, on the other hand, will be conducted in cooperation with Yeditepe University. With this project, for which we will receive 11.9 million liras in support from İSTKA, we will accelerate green and digital transformation processes in the iron, steel, and cement sectors.”
Mustafa Gültepe added that in all three projects, 90% of the budget will be provided by İSTKA, and that they will continue to lead the transformation with new collaborations and projects in the upcoming period.
