Exporters to Deliver Their Products to 49 Cities Across 30 Countries at Discounted Rates with Turkish Cargo
The collaboration initiated between the Türkiye Exporters Assembly (TİM) and Turkish Airlines (THY) to enable exporters to deliver their products to international markets swiftly and at discounted rates continues. TİM and Turkish Airlines' air cargo brand, Turkish Cargo, have renewed for the seventh time the protocol offering exporters discounted cargo transportation services. Under the protocol, Turkish Cargo will transport Turkish export products to 49 destinations across 30 countries with discounts of up to 34%.
“Air cargo transportation is of strategic importance for competitive exports”
Mustafa Gültepe, President of the Türkiye Exporters Assembly, emphasized that cost-effective air cargo transportation is of strategic importance for maintaining competitive exports. Noting that Türkiye is in a fortunate position in the field of air cargo transportation, Gültepe continued:
“We are backed by a national flag carrier like Turkish Airlines, which operates the world's most extensive flight network and ranks among the global leaders in air cargo. Turkish Cargo has always been one of our most important partners throughout our export journey. Today, by signing our seventh cooperation protocol and taking our strong partnership one step further, we have significantly expanded the package we offer our exporters, both quantitatively and qualitatively. Through this protocol, we are extending our flight network to 49 destinations across 30 countries. At a time when rising costs are placing considerable pressure on our exporters, this protocol paves the way for them to remain competitive. While our total exports have increased by 78% over the past decade, our air cargo exports have recorded an impressive 150% growth. Under the previous six protocols, we achieved approximately USD 11 billion in exports. I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the Turkish Airlines family for its valuable contribution to this remarkable growth.”
“We regard facilitating Turkish exporters' access to global markets as a priority”
Prof. Dr. Murat Şeker, Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee of Turkish Airlines, stated that facilitating Turkish exporters' access to global markets and supporting Türkiye's export targets remain among the airline's foremost priorities. Şeker said:
“In line with this objective, we have renewed for the seventh time the Export Campaign Protocol we carry out in cooperation with the Türkiye Exporters Assembly by increasing the number of destinations included in the campaign. Thanks to this renewed collaboration, our exporters will be able to deliver their products to 49 destinations—including strategic markets such as China, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Pakistan, and the United States—at costs that are almost equivalent to domestic transportation rates. We believe that every product reaching the right market at the right time with competitive logistics costs will create new commercial opportunities for our producers while also contributing to our country's export revenues. As Turkish Airlines, we will continue to strengthen the global competitiveness of our exporters and support Türkiye's export objectives.”
The protocol, covering general cargo, perishable cargo, pharmaceutical cargo, as well as shipments of fish, meat, fruits, and vegetables, will remain valid between 1 July and 31 October 2026.
