Exporters Ready to Meet Nigeria's Growing Demand

The Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) continued its Virtual Trade Delegation programs with Nigeria on July 13-17 with the aim of reducing Covid-19's effects on the exports. TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle said, "Although the development of the mutual trade of the two countries is important, the share of Nigeria's imports from our country in total imports is still less than 1 percent. The new goal of exporters will be to increase this rate to over 1 percent by experiencing rapidly rising demand in Nigeria". Nigerian Ambassador to Abuja Ahmet Melih Ulueren said there are significant opportunities for Turkish exporters in the Agriculture and Health sectors in Nigeria.

Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) held a commemoration ceremony on the fourth anniversary of the nation's epic struggle against the July 15th treacherous coup attempt. At the ceremony, 251 pigeons were flown in memory of the 251 heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives without hesitation while resisting the coup attempt.
100 Thousand Masks Were Delivered to the USA Within The Scope Of TİM's National Production Mobilization

Exports Start New Normal With Record

Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) announced the export figures for June. Türkiye's export increased by 15.8 percent in June 2020 to 13 billion 469 million dollars. Compared to May, 35.2 percent achieved a record rate of increase in exports. In June, 1.443 companies joined the export family, while 24 of the 27 sectors increased in exports. Hazelnut and Products, Grain, Jewelry, Ship and Yacht, Ornamental Plants sectors increased their exports by more than 50 percent monthly, while the top 5 sectors that exported the most were Automotive, Chemical Substances, Apparel, Steel and Electrical-Electronics.

Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) announced the provisional foreign export data for May. In May, Turkey's export was $9 billion 964 million, decreasing 40,9 percent. Exports in the last 12 months decreased by 8,4 percent to $165 billion 732 million.

Turkish Exporters' Assembly (TİM) starts its Virtual Trade Delegations program, which was created with the objective to reduce the effects of COVID-19 on exports, with Uzbekistan on 13-15 May. After Uzbekistan, Kenya, India and South Korea will be on the route. İsmail GÜLLE, Chairman of TİM, said “We continue our activities within the scope of our mission to increase our country's exports and offer solutions to our exporters. In order to minimize the negative effects of the epidemic on our country's exports and the market losses suffered by our exporter companies, we start our virtual delegations with the coordination of our Ministry of Trade. Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) has started to organize online panels called ‘TİM Export Talks' for drawing the direction of the trade on COVID-19 pandemic process and future. Turkish Exporters Assembly, which was starting its first panel with Turkey's Beijing Ambassador Abdulkadir Emin Önen, will share reports of panels with exporters. Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) Chairman İsmail Gülle told, “We started the first meeting with the Chinese market, which has an indispensable weight in the world economy. China is the country with the largest share in global trade at 12.4 percent and ranks second in the world's national income. After the online panels, we will present our China report, which will include important issues to use of 95 thousand exporters. Our exporters saw many crises and managed them very successfully. I hope that we will be successful in managing the pandemic crisis that we have experienced for the first time in the best way. In addition, Beijing Ambassador Abdulkadir Emin Önen stated that life in China has begun to return to normal and said, "We have strong contacts with everyone in China.
