Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) Consultation and Agricultural Consultants meeting was held with the participation of Agriculture and Forestry Minister Bekir Pakdemirli. At the meeting held online, exporters shared their demands and suggestions about the agricultural sector.
The 8th Türkiye Innovation Week, organized by Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) since 2012 with the coordination of the Ministry of Commerce and held online on December 25-26 due to the pandemic this year, started with the participation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and 6 ministries. In the 8th Türkiye Innovation Week which will sail to new horizons, it was presented the world-famous speakers, industry giants, owners of groundbreaking technological inventions, innovation stakeholders, success stories, innovation-oriented projects and, panels in which will be handled innovation in a multifaceted way. The event, which was attended by Instagram Co-Founder Mike Krieger and futurist scientist Ray Kurzweil, who specializes in the technologies of the future, was brought together with millions of people using special technology methods.
Emphasizing the importance of innovation and Türkiye Innovation Week in his speech at the opening ceremony, TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle said, “We will reach a much wider audience this year in our Türkiye Innovation Week, which we carried out on the virtual platform by signing a principle in the world. Innovation is already a tradition, fact, and a necessity of this geography. As Gazi Mustafa Kemal Ataturk stated that “Success on the road to civilization depends on innovation”. As we have always said, exports will rise with innovation, Türkiye will rise with exports. Export is our future; innovation is our assurance. There are no obstacles that can stand in the way of innovation.”
İsmail Gülle, Chairman of Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), said at the opening of Türkiye's first 3D Virtual Automotive Fair 'Auto Expo Türkiye 2020', “In November, when restrictions started again in our important markets and consumption decreased significantly in some sectors, our automotive sector exported 2 billion 698 million dollars. Even though it was 0.3 percent compared to the same month last year, it was very important that the sector exports increased and quickly captured the pre-pandemic export figures. The exports of this sector and its share of all our total exports were 16.8 percent. We continue to walk confidently to $165.9 billion, our total export target for 2020.”
Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) has signed an important cooperation agreement with Turkish Airlines for discounted air cargo transportation to increase the use of air cargo and reduce logistics costs of the exporter within the scope of the export mobilization. With the cooperation, Turkish Cargo, the logistics brand of THY, will apply a discount of up to 30 percent in the transportation of Turkish export products by air cargo to 28 destinations in 22 countries. It stated, could be reached a total of more than $5 billion in additional export revenue thanks to cooperation. TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle, “Türkiye will rise with exports and exports will rise on the wings of THY. Turkish Cargo also gave important support to the perception of ‘Reliable Supplier Port Türkiye' by successfully shouldering the logistical burden of exports during the most challenging period of the global pandemic.” he said.
Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), to reduce Covid-19 effects on exports, continues with South Africa its Virtual Trade Delegation programs. TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle said, “In the first 10 months of 2020, when world trade contracted significantly due to the pandemic, our steel exports to South Africa were 134 percent; our chemicals exports are 73 percent; our cereal sector exports increased by 29 percent. In the short term, our goal is to increase Türkiye's share with advanced marine logistics in both countries.
Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) has launched a new mobilization of exports after the economic reform announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. TİM met with Transport and Infrastructure Minister Adil Karaismailoğlu on logistics, which constitutes the most important element of exports, regarding the new era.
TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle, “So far we have had virtual trade delegation meetings with 12 different countries from 5 continents. Together with our Indonesian virtual trade delegation, 227 exporting companies participated in our virtual delegations. 664 buyer companies completed our delegations; More than 1,600 bilateral job interviews were held. Our exports of Defense and Aerospace Industries to Indonesia increased 70-fold to $27.1 million in the first ten months of this year compared to the same period last year” he said.
Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) held the eleventh meeting of 'TİM Regional Consultation Meetings', launched in the pandemic process to seek solutions to exporter associations' general and regional problems, with İstanbul Minerals and Metals Exporters Association (İMMİB). TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle, “The exports of General Secretariat of İMMİB has exceeded 36 billion dollars since the new year. This compares to 29.3 percent of our total exports in the same period. I believe that our exporters within İMMİB, by continuing to be the engine of Turkish exports, will carry our country confidently to 2021 that will be our star year in exports” he said.
Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) announced that it donated 10 million Turkish Lira to the aid campaign called “İzmir arises from together” launched by İzmir Business World including the Aegean Exporters' Association after the İzmir earthquake. TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle said, “What makes us strong is our unity and the spirit of solidarity. If we are one, “Rising Türkiye With Exports” will not be stopped by disasters, pandemics, or economic pressures. As TİM and our Exporters Unions, we will contribute to this meaningful project that envisions the construction of housing, schools, and social areas.”
Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) presented the roadmap and action plan to President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who initiated the process of reforming the economy, regarding the new export mobilization. TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle, “Türkiye began its export adventure with 35 billion dollars, with together our President. Today we are advancing to the export target of $200 billion. We have upgraded Türkiye with exports, and we will continue to upgrade. We did not evade from the responsibility during difficult times, will never evade in the coming period” he said.
