Kadın girişimcileri ihracata teşvik etmeyi amaçlayan ve “İhracata Nasıl Başladık, Nasıl Başardık?” başlığıyla yapılan webinar, TİM Kadın Konseyi Başkan Yardımcısı Sultan Tepe ve Kale Grubu Yönetim Kurulu Başkanı ve CEO'su Zeynep Bodur Okyay'ın konuşmacı olarak katılımıyla gerçekleştirildi.
Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) continues its “TİM Export Talks” online panels organized with ambassadors to draw the direction of trade during and after the pandemic process. The last of the panels were organized with the title “What Opportunities Are There in the United Kingdom Post-Brexit?” Turkish Ambassador to London Ümit Yalçın and TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle attended the panel.
Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) carried out the last of the “SME Export Campaign Training Program” to Amasya online, to encourage small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) to export. The program attracted great attention, in which Amasya Governor Mustafa Masatlı and TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle participated in its close.
TİM CHAIRMAN GÜLLE: WE WILL REACH THE TARGET OF 5 MILLION DOLLARS IN CARPET EXPORTS
Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) Chairman İsmail Gülle emphasized that the exports of more than $2 billion 600 million made by the carpet sector in 2020 were the highest annual carpet exports of all time and that sector exports reached $236 million in January with an increase of 6.4 percent. Gülle, “Even though we are the world's largest exporter with close to 30 percent share in the sector, we have to keep our targets higher. I believe that our carpet sector, which contributes greatly to our foreign trade targets, will reach its $5 billion export target quickly in the next few years.”
İsmail Gülle, Chairman of Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), stated that the textile and raw materials sector will reach its goal of 10 billion dollars this year by increasing the market diversity with the increase in demand that will be created by the strong recovery expected in Europe, “The biggest candidate to be the new focus of global supply chains, especially in the textile industry is Türkiye. While the main market of our sector is European countries, increases in African and Asian countries show that our sector is improving market diversity. Turkish products are ahead in terms of quality in many areas. Türkiye has strengthened its safe supplier identity with its production and export performance under pandemic conditions.” he said.
TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle, “Türkiye has once again proved how strong its industrial and commercial potential is with its achievements in exports during the economic crisis brought by the global pandemic. Hopefully, this year we will reach the goal of 184 billion dollars and further goals collectively. To make the increase in our exports sustainable, high value-added products, the right sector selection, increasing diversity in target markets, as well as strategic financial management stand out as a must-have title.” he said.
Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) announced the January export figures. In January, Türkiye's exports reached 15 billion 48 million dollars, an increase of 2.5 percent compared to the same month last year, despite the coronavirus pandemic, making it the highest January export figure in the history of the Republic. In January, 17 sectors increased their exports compared to the same month the previous year. Especially the sectors that performed the strongest were the Jewelry, Air Conditioning, and Age Fruit and Vegetable sectors. The Turkish exporter, who makes to wave the Turkish flag in 215 countries and regions in January, when exports to 6 of the 10 countries to which the most exports were made increased, exported the most to Germany with $ 1 billion 455 million. In January, when 52 provinces increased their exports, 1457 companies participated in exports for the first time. In January the automotive sector, which exported 2 billion 267 million dollars, maintained its leadership. According to the declarations opened with Turkish Lira in January, it was made the exports with Turkish Lira totaling 5 billion 215 million to 169 countries.
Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) continues its Virtual Trade Delegation programs with Qatar and Oman between February 1st and 4th to reducing the effects of Covid-19 on exports. TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle stated that they have established not only commercial but also a heart-to-heart connection in different geographies, “Regardless of the future of the pandemic, we will continue our virtual delegations. We are starting our physical delegations again in the middle of the year, hopefully. Our country's exports to Oman were 30 million dollars in 2001, while today it has reached 525 million dollars, exceeding 20 times. Our exports to Qatar reached 1 billion 36 million dollars today from just over 8 million dollars in 2001. This year, with the effect of our delegation and normalization in foreign trade, we will set new records in our exports to both countries.” he said.
Stating that 2 billion 605 million dollars were exported in 2020 with an increase of 2.8 percent in the carpet sector, Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) Chairman İsmail Gülle said, “After this record, the increase in our carpet sector since the year is over 10 percent. The carpet sector is a sector where we are pioneers in the world. By meeting the demand, we need to reach 5 billion dollars per year by growing the scale.”
İsmail Gülle, Chairman of Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), stated that the foreign logistic center will accelerate the Turkish exporter's access to new markets and, “We have carried out a detailed study for the logistics center we plan to open in the USA. We have a target of 100 billion dollars in foreign trade volume with the USA We believe that the logistics center to be opened is of great importance for us to achieve this goal quickly” he said.
