TİM CHAIRMAN GÜLLE: 1.2 BILLION DOLLAR EXPORTS FROM KONYA IN 5 MONTHS Turkish exporters, which are the field workers of the economy and trade diplomacy of Türkiye, have succeeded in exporting from Konya to 182 countries and regions. Noting that Konya has performed very successful performance on exports in recent years, especially in the Middle East, Europe, and the United States, TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle said, "The companies in Konya, which exported $2.2 billion last year, exported $1.2 billion in the first five months of this year, an increase of 50 percent compared to the same period of 2020."
Step to Increase Branded Exports From TİM: TİM Brand Council

Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) established TİM Brand Council to evaluate global opportunities in the pandemic and to increase branded exports and added value in exports. Sharing the roadmap and main objectives of the Council, TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle said, " The Republic of Türkiye is a strong brand. We are implementing TİM Brand Council to further rise this strong brand together and for increasing our branded exports while competing with the whole world. Under the umbrella of the Council, we will strengthen our brands in the international arena. As a result, we will hopefully increase our export unit value to over $2 by 2030. Thanks to the council, the number of brands competing with the world will increase."
Vaccine Priority Good News For Exporters With The Green Passport

Stating that they were pleased that the inclusion of exporters with green passports in the priority group in the vaccination program, TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle said, "Our exporters needed to be vaccinated quickly in order not to have problems with their travels. The inclusion of our exporters, who are the field workers of the economy and trade diplomacy of Türkiye, in the vaccination program will also positively affect our export volume. The First 5-month Export Record Of The Republic History is Broken

TİM Chairman İsmail Gülle said, "With our May exports, we also realized the highest January-May exports in the history of the Republic. In the last 12 months exporting 193 billion 267 million dollars, we reached a level above 184 billion dollars that is our annual export target. Hopefully, we will reach 200 billion dollars together. The export family is at risk due to its direct contact with many parts of the world. In addition, the fact that our important markets have started to apply vaccine passports raises various problems in terms of access to the market. Our export family demands that our government be included among the priority groups in the vaccination program."

Gaziantep's Exports are Running to Record; Over $3.5 Billion in 4.5 Months

Gaziantep, one of the locomotive cities of exports, the 5th most exporting city in Türkiye, signed an important success increasing by 36.3 percent its exports compared to the same period the previous year, exceeding 3.5 billion dollars. The exports of the city, which is expected to surpass 9 billion dollars this year and set an all-time export record, increase every month, and make significant contributions to the country's exports; the Carpet sector became the shining star of the country with an increase of 54.6 percent $850 million in exports in 4.5 months. Last year, Gaziantep has set a record with a total of $7.94 billion in exports, an increase of 6.1 percent.

Export Family Flies The Turkish Flag in 218 Countries

Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) announced the export figures for April. In April, Türkiye's exports reached 18 billion 766 million dollars, an increase of 109 percent compared to the same month last year, despite the pandemic, making it the highest April export in the history of the Republic. April exports made history becoming the second most exported month of all time after March 2021. The export family signed an export of 68 billion 752 million dollars in the January-April period, an increase of 33.1 percent compared to the same period in 2020. With an April record, the Turkish exporter has succeeded in closing the last five months with records. In April, 25 sectors increased their exports compared to the same month of the previous year. 9 sectors set the highest monthly export record in their history. Last month, the automotive sector maintained its leadership with 2.466 billion dollars. The Turkish exporter, which managed to wave the Turkish flag in 218 countries and regions in April, succeed to increase its exports to 182 countries. In April, 15 provinces achieved the highest monthly exports in their history, while 74 provinces achieved significant success by increasing their exports. In April, with the addition of 2,444 new companies to the export family, an all-time monthly record was set in the number of companies that started new exports.
